DeOndria Michelle
DeOndria Michelle is an emerging cinematographer, director, filmmaker, and editor with a passion for striking visual storytelling. She specializes in cultural documentaries, product productions, and imagery that captures emotion, atmosphere, and truth.
As a self-taught African-American artist from Chicago, DeOndria draws deep inspiration from the city’s rich landscape of public art, historic architecture, and vibrant street murals. Her creative voice is shaped by feeling, intuition, and a deep connection to the visual language of culture and identity.
Originally pursuing a path as a music artist, DeOndria felt a shift in calling. In a quiet, personal moment of prayer, she asked God what she was truly meant to do. The answer came to her in a prophetic dream—and with that clarity, she purchased her first camera. From that point forward, filmmaking became her purpose.
Though she has not yet worked on a professional set, DeOndria continues to refine her craft through independent projects driven by passion, curiosity, and vision. She aspires to join the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) or the Japanese Society of Cinematographers (JSC), and until that day comes, she is committed to growing—becoming better with each frame she captures.
